Bryan, We too are soon to be going full time. Must get out from under this house...... first.
Interested in what exact components are needed for the wilson amp. I will be using a Droid as my WIFI router. Hop for wireless signal boost to the Droid, am I on the rite track?
BTW; you should place a link on your blog to email direct to you??
Hi Wayne. The Wilson kit we purchased came pretty complete in the box. I wish it would have come with a lightening arrest or for when I have to jack up the antenna. I actually have my sprint(through millenicom) cell modem about 8 feet in front of the interior antenna and it works great. The best thing about the Wilson setup is that it is very configure able by just switching out external and internal antenna.
For the external antenna I went down to our local Ace Hardware and purchased a couple pieces of conduit. The outer "mast" is 1 1/4" metal conduit and the "internal" mast is 1" PVC conduit. The PVC slides into the metal and by using a coupler for the 1 1/4" I can adjust the height. On the end of the PVC I just use a junction box and cover to mount the nmo antenna to. I will be happy to answer any questions.
